Activating culture is joy, and justice work. It is our medium to build change, competency and community care. Through our training and tools we support stakeholders to integrate intercultural solutions in practices, programs and policy.
Shereen Ashman is a multi-awarded social enterprise, educator and culture consultant. She founded SACCAE social innovation studio to champion cultural equity in education and employment ecosystems.
Surviving gun violence sparked her purpose in social innovation. Since then, Shereen has collaborated with nonprofits, corporate and public institutions to deliver socio-economic programs to equity deserving communities. She cofounded the charity CEE Centre for Young Black Professionals, SisterTalk Village and has participated on the board of several charitable organization in Toronto.
As an educator and speaker, Shereen is practiced in adult learning and cultural curriculum. Shereen has delivered training and keynote address in college, community and corporate settings amplifying topics related to cultural inclusion and belonging; community development, and ancestral wellness.
